Today I have attended 5 meetings, including the 2 first employee appraisals this Spring (out of about 70). Other meetings included the steering group meeting for Network for welfare research.

Today I have attended 2 scheduled meetings. This included a work meeting devoted to working out program for a 2-day bachelor gathering at the department. Today I also follow a welfare seminar by Network for welfare research digitally.

Today I have attended three scheduled meetings. This included a steering group meeting for Network for welfare research, at Ydalir hotel.

Today I have had 3 meetings. This included my weekly meeting with the office manager, and a meeting concerning plans for establishing a regular welfare conference in Stavanger.

4 meetings and a hospital appointment

Today I have attended 4 scheduled meetings, and had a hospital appointment. The meetings included the steering group meeting of Network for welfare research.

Three meetings

Today I have had three meetings - one about coordination with another faculty in our ph.d. programme, one about welfare research, and a third in relation to my forthcoming job as head of department.

A meeting, a webinar, and an online book presentation

Today I have attended three digital events/meetings. First a book presentation organised by The Greenhouse, with the authors participating online from Australia. Then the meeting in the research committee of University of Stavanger - where I presented status and plans for Network for welfare research; and raised the question of when we can practically return to organizing (at least partially) physical Ph.D. defences. Lastly I attended a webinar held by the research department at UIS with participation from Research Council of Norway for UIS leadership on EU research funding, particularly ERC.

Two meetings and supervision

Today I have attended the rector meeting, which had the form of a EU funding seminar. I also attended a meeting related to Network for welfare research, and had a supervision session.

Workshop on welfare and migration chaired; two more events

Yesterday, January 28th, I chaired the second workshop of the University of Stavanger´s Network for welfare research, which took place at 9 to 12.30 at Kjell Arholms hus, with the theme "Velferd og migration" (Welfare and migration). Some 60 people attended. The programme included a lecture by Thomas Hylland Eriksen (UIO), talks by Hildegunn Fandrem and Elisabeth Enoksen (both UIS) and group work organised around five non-governmental and governmental organizations.

I also attended the university´s open meeting on strategy, with rector Klaus Mohn, and had a meeting with a colleague.

Three meetings (incl. supervision)

Three meetings today:

- took part in opening an info meeting with our faculty and Faculty of health sciences on this Spring´s calls from Research Council of Norway

- Bachelor thesis supervision, first session

- planning meeting in relation to Network for welfare research´s workshop next week

A meeting and two job interviews

Yesterday I attended a planning meeting related to Network for welfare research. I also took part in 4 hours work in an appointments committee for the position of head of department at Department of media and social sciences, which included two interviews.

Three meetings as Vice-Dean of research

Today - now back in Stavanger - I have attended three meetings:

* a meeting with people working with the regional plan for Jæren in the Rogaland county administration

* a meeting related to Network for welfare research and two related program areas for research

* a dialogue meeting with two representatives for UIS doctoral community

One and a half meeting

Today I attended the appointments committee meeting of the  Faculty of social sciences - but only two people with voting rights were present. We had our say about some cases, awaiting written input from other members, and decided that one case is to be rescheduled for the next meeting.

I also attended a planning meeting related to Network for welfare research (workshop plans and efforts to establish the steering group).

Two meetings or so

Today I have attended the faculty leadership meeting at Faculty of social sciences, and a meeting related to call for applications for the position as leader of Network for welfare research.

Three meetings yesterday

Yesterday I attended a regular dialogue meeting with one of the faculty´s departments, the annual festivities (årsfest), with doctoral promotion and announcement of three prices, and a meeting related to the Network for welfare research.

Two meetings

Today I attended a meeting of the Faculty of Social Sciences´ Appointments committee. Early morning...

Then a planning meeting concerning the university´s Network for welfare research, the establishment of which was formally approved last Friday.

Three meetings

Today I have attended three meetings. First the leadership group meeting at Faculty of social sciences. Then the ph.d. committee for the ph.d. in social sciences. And finally a planning meeting related to the Network for welfare research.

Two meetings and a bachelor thesis graded

Today I have attended two meetings - one on the establishment of a Network for welfare research (with Vice rector for research, research director, and faculty director), and one on digital registration for Ph.d. courses. I have also graded a philosophical bachelor thesis with a scholar at University of Oslo.
