Cognitive lab: Constitutive steering group meeting chaired; not part of new steering group after all

Today I chaired the constitutive steering group meeting for Cognitive and behavioral neuroscience lab (Cognitive lab) at University of Stavanger. The meeting decided to downscale the steering group, from 21 members including deputy representatives to 10, with 7 permanent members and 3 deputy representatives, for 2023-2025. I am not among the members, after all. Kolbjørn Kallesten Brønnick, the former Managing Director, is the new Steering group leader, with Helge Bøvik Larsen re-elected as Deputy leader. Ulrich Dettweiler is the new Managing Director.

I chaired a ad hoc working group coordinating the establishment of the lab (2020-2021), and chaired the Steering group for the first 2 years (2021-2023). Initially, I suggested to establish a cross-faculty Cognitive lab in Spring 2020, which then got the support of Vice-rector for research Merete Vadla Madland.

Today I have chaired a meeting in the steering group at Cognitive Lab at UIS. Among other things we revised the action plan for 2023.

I have recently been appointed as Department of social studies´ representative in the steering group, after filling the role earlier as Head of department.

Today I have attended three meetings. This included a meeting with BUFETAT (Norway´s Agency for Children, Youth and Families), a meeting related to Cognitive lab, and a steering group meeting for establishment of a candidate of psychology study.

Today I have attended 4 meetings, which filled my work day from 8.45 to 15. This included a budget meeting, a work group meeting on our development of a master in psychology, and the third steering group meeting related to our development of a candidate of psychology study (profesjonsstudium).

Cognitive lab: Updated homepage; news story on the establishment of steering group and working committee

The Norwegian language homepage of Cognitive lab has been updated.I am listed as chair of the steering group. The full steering group is presented in a PDF.

Gathering and 2 meetings - elected as chair of steering group for Cognitive Lab

Yesterday I attended the second day of our faculty leadership group gathering at Hotell Jæren, Bryne. I also attended, and chaired, the first, constitutive meeting of the steering group for Cognitive Lab (Cognitive and behavioral neuroscience lab), and was elected chair of the steering group. And I had one more meeting.

Yesterday I had a ph.d. supervision session, attended the CubaNor steering group meeting, and attended the first day of the faculty leadership group´s gathering at Hotell Jæren, Bryne.

Today I have attended a planning meeting about the faculty´s Academic day (Fagdag), and a steering group meeting for the NORPART project CubaNor. I have also had my annual performance appraisal with the Dean of the faculty, Gro Ellen Mathisen.

A forum and a meeting

Today I attended the biannual "Lederforum" (leadership forum) at University of Stavanger, which was focussed on strategy. I also attended a meeting of the steering group for the NORPART project "Cuban and Nordic welfare" (our first since this Spring).
