I have been informed by Universitetsforlaget that the text book anthology Ex.phil. for sosialfag (2018), which I edited, will from January 2025 no longer be available for sale in digital format, via Allvit. It has already stopped to be be available in print format - or at least the publisher has recently shredded their stored copies of the book.

Declined to be "Review Editor" for Frontiers in Ethology
I have declined an invitation to become a Review Editor for Frontiers in Ethology. I do not trust Frontiers´ editorial model. I also don´t like the suggestion that doing 1-2 peer reviews per year makes you an "Editor".

2018 Impact Factor for Biosemiotics
The 2018 Impact Factor for Biosemiotics, for which I am Main Editor-in-Chief, is 1.170 (down from 1.527 in 2017. The 5-year Impact Factor looks better, at 1.201 (vs. 0.915 in 2017), a new record.

Today I received a copy of Ex.Phil. for sosialfag (2nd edition), which I have edited, and which is on sale from now onwards. It defines compulsory readings in Examen Philosophicum at Department of social studies.

The second edition of Ex.Phil. for sosialfag, edited by me (496 pp.), is in these days being published by Universitetsforlaget. The first copies are now said to have arrived. It will be on sale within a week.

Lead Editor-in-Chief for Biosemiotics
The Editors-in-Chief of Biosemiotics, that is Alexei Sharov, Timo Maran and myself, have agreed that starting with issue 2/2018 (volume 11, issue 2) I will be the lead Editor-in-Chief. This involves main responsibility for communication, and a coordinating role. Editorial decision-making is joint among the three of us.

Chapter selection for new Ex.Phil. anthology
Yesterday i finished selecting chapters for a new edition of Ex.Phil. for sosialfag, edited by me this time (last version was edited by Jon Vegar Hugaas), to be published by Universitetsforlaget this autumn.
The anthology will feature a chapter by me ("Menneskeveldet") as well as an introductory chapter written by me, in addition to 15 other chapters.
