Second co-authored friluftsliv article accepted for journal publication

I have been notified that the article "Friluftsliv in therapeutic residential care: Taking adolescents out to find a way in", which I have co-authored with Joakim Jiri Haaland, has been accepted for publication.

Today I have spent half an article writing day editing the article "Friluftsliv in therapeutic residential care: When staff take youth out to find a way in", which I co-write with Joakim Jiri Haaland. Hopefully this article is now completed. I also had a look at reviewer feedback on a rejected article from the "Live better" research consortium which I take part in. 

So far this Spring I have had 62 writing days, including 9 article writing days.

Today I have had a book writing day, with work done on the article now titled "Friluftsliv in therapeutic residential care: When staff take youth out to find a way in" which I co-write with Joakim Jiri Haaland. So far this Spring I have had 61,5 writing days, including 8,5 article writing days.

Today I have had an article writing day, with some 500 words added to the article "Friluftsliv in therapeutic residential care: Taking adolescents out to find a way in" which I co-write with Joakim Jiri Haaland. 

So far this Autumn I have had 27,5 writing days including 13 article writing days.

By now, with 42.417 words written logged this year to date, I have written more in 2024 than in any of the five previous years except for 2020, when I wrote 84.739 words. So far this Autumn I have written more than 16.000 words altogether.

Today I have had half an article writing day and half a book writing day, with some 50 words added to an article on friluftsliv and child welfare which I co-write with Joakim Jiri Haaland, and some 150 words added to my scientific monograph Captured: CCS and the fight for the soul of the environmental movement. So far this Autumn I have had 13,5 writing days including 7,5 book writing days and 6 article writing days.

4 meetings including employee appraisals and visit from Norwegian parliament

Today I have attended 3 employee appraisals (total to date: 59) and chaired a visit to the department by three members of parliament accompanied by four advisors - altogether the meeting, which addressed child welfare, was attended by some 21 people.

We have been informed that our article "Recreation in the outdoors – exploring the friluftsliv experience of adolescents at residential care" - first author Joakim Jiri Haaland, second author me - has been accepted for publication in Child & Youth Services.

Yesterday I had half an article writing day devoted to revision of the article I co-author with Joakim Jiri Haaland. Some -200 words written, net - with some of my initial text now removed. total number of writing days in 2020 is up to 44,5.

Writing day; work on co-authored article on friluftsliv and child welfare

Today I have had a 5-hour article writing day devoted to work on the article I co-write with my Ph.d. student Joakim Jiri Haaland as second author. I have added some 900 words to the text, and contributed to framing and revision of the article structure.

This brings the number of writing days so far this Spring up to 12,5.

"Joy in the open air" paper presented at IHRSC in Molde, with Joakim J. Haaland

Today I have, along with my Ph.d. student Joakim Jiri Haaland, presented the paper "Joy in the open air - Outdoor life at residential care" at the International Human Sciences Research Conference (IHSRC) at Molde University College. Some 15 people attended. Our talk was given in session 7 (a parallel session), "Lived experience - suffering".

Along with Joakim Jiri Haaland, I have submitted the abstract "Joy in the open air - Outdoor life at residential care" for International Human Sciences Research Conference (IHSRC) 2019, to be held in Molde, Norway in June with the theme "Joy, suffering and death - understanding contrasting existential phenomena in the lifespan".
