Today I have had a book writing day, with some 100 words added to my book manuscript in spe Being and Sign. Moreover, I researched industry news and other news related to climate change and particularly carbon capture and storage (CCS) in preparation for my forthcoming book Carbon Capture and the Future of Environmentalism. Finally, I pondered upon writing a Norwegian language philosophy text book. This brings the number of writing days so far this Spring up to 24,5, including 7,5 book writing days.

"Ex.phil. for sosialfag" to appear as e-book

I have been informed by Universitetsforlaget that the book Ex.Phil. for sosialfag will appear as e-book this autumn.

Semiotics review article has 600 reads in ResearchGate

According to ResearchGate, our review article "Hundred introductions to semiotics, for a million students: Survey of semiotics textbooks and primers in the world" (Kalevi Kull et al. 2015) has achieved 600 reads there.

"Ex.Phil. for sosialfag" now printed; on sale within week

The second edition of Ex.Phil. for sosialfag, edited by me (496 pp.), is in these days being published by Universitetsforlaget. The first copies are now said to have arrived. It will be on sale within a week.

Book project description for Vekstkrisen submitted to text book prize competition

Last night I finished composing, and submitted, a contribution to Universitetsforlaget´s text book prize competition. The material submitted included CV, a sample chapter, and a 6 page project description for a book tentatively titled Vekstkrisen - Hva norsk økofilosofi sier om vekstøkonomien.

Preface and introduction for Ex.Phil. anthology written

Last night (sic) I finished a brief introduction and the preface for the Ex.Phil. anthology that Universitetsforlaget will publish this autumn (Ex.Phil. for sosialfag).

To edit new/revised Ex.Phil. anthology

I have agreed with Universitetsforlaget that I will work to prepare a new, part revised and part expanded, version of their Ex.Phil. anthology for social studies. Chapter selection and writing of a new introduction must be in place within a few months.

Two research articles to be added to compulsory readings

I have just suggested a couple of research articles to add to the compulsory readings in Examen Philosophicum at Department of social studies - Næss and Polanyi. To be approved by study coordinator, who requested such changes (namely to existing supplement text books with a few research articles) as a follow-up to NOKUT´s evaluation of the department´s bachelor studies in social work and child welfare.
