Today I have had an article writing day devoted to our book Semiotic agency, with some 800 words written, and the introductory chapter edited, in addition to the remaining parts of chapter 7, Semiosis. Number of writing days so far this Spring is up to 18.

Brentari´s Uexküll book received

I have, at long last, received my copy of Carlo Brentari´s book Jakob von Uexküll - The discovery of the Umwelt between biosemiotics and theoretical biology, published by Springer in 2015 - for which I wrote the introduction chapter.

Preface and introduction for Ex.Phil. anthology written

Last night (sic) I finished a brief introduction and the preface for the Ex.Phil. anthology that Universitetsforlaget will publish this autumn (Ex.Phil. for sosialfag).

Brentari´s "The Discovery of the Umwelt" due March 14th

Carlo Brentari´s forthcoming monograph The Discovery of the Umwelt - Jakob von Uexküll Between Biosemiotics and Theoretical Biology, is due for publication March 14th, according to the publisher, Springer. The book is the 9th in the Biosemiotics book series. I have written the introductory chapter, entitled "Introduction: The relevance of Uexküll´s Umwelt theory today".

Chapter "The semiotics of animal representations: Introduction" available at ResearchGate and Academia

The introductory chapter to The Semiotics of Animal representations (Rodopi 2014 - see publisher's website), "The semiotics of animal representations: Introduction", is now available in a manuscript version at ResearchGate and Academia.edu.

The Semiotics of Animal Representations chapter offprint etc. received

Today I received electronic offprint of the introduction chapter to The Semiotics of Animal Representations (for which I am one of two editors), and various other material including first pages and various order/recommendation forms, from Rodopi, the publisher. I assume the other contributors did so too. The message stated that the book (or rather, my contribution) has now been published.
