#28; four SNL encyclopedia entries updated

Today I´ve had half an article writing day, with work done related to my book review of Interpreting, Communication and Animal Welfare for Biosemiotics. Also, I took note that four Store Norske Leksikon encyclopedia entries I have previously suggested edits to have now been updated - specifically, this concerns the entries "Albert Schweitzer", "bærekraftig utvikling", "etikk", and "miljøbevegelsen". This brings the number of writing days so far this Spring up to 28, including 19,5 article writing days.

Edits performed in six SNL encyclopedia entries

Minor edits I have made previously have now been approved in six encyclopedia articles in Store Norske Leksikon (SNL), namely "antroposentrisk", "dypøkologi", "dyreetikk", "miljøfilosofi", "rettssubjekt" and "økosofi".

Today I have had an article writing day, with some 800 words added to Store Norske Leksikon, primarily the new encyclopedia article "miljøetikk" (environmental ethics), but also links to that article from a number of related articles. This brings the number of writing days so far this Spring up to 14,5, including 10,5 article writing days.

First SNL encycklopedia article; plus three articles edited

Yesterday my encyclopedia article "Ulvejakt" was published by Store Norske Leksikon. This is my first encyclopedia article. A couple of weeks ago edits I made were published in three other encyclopedia articles, "barneskolen", "dødsstraff" and "Thomas Kuhn". 

Updated CONTRADICTionary reference

Here is an updated reference for my contributions to the forthcoming book publication CONTRADICTionary:

#38; first SNL encyclopedia article submitted, on wolf hunting

Today I have had half an article writing day, with some 900 words added to my encyclopedia article "Ulvejakt" (Wolf hunting), which I have now submitted to the editors of Store Norske Leksikon (SNL). This was writing day #38 this Autumn (starting July 1st), with a total of 9 of the writing days devoted to article writing to date.

Today I have had half an article writing day, partly devoted to work on the revision of the book chapter manuscript "Steffens´ early outlook reconsidered: Nature conceptions of the industrial-age Anthropocene", with some 100 words added to the manuscript in the process. I also accepted to contribute with two entries in a prospective special issue (journal to be agreed) titled "CONTRADICTionary: An Almanac of Resistance", which will be organised around the ca. 200 words the Trump administration is attempting to ban from science.  

So far this Spring I have had 29 writing days, including 5 article writing days.

"Ecological semiotics" chapter accepted for publication in Encyclopedia of Ecology

I have been notified that my chapter "Ecological semiotics" has been accepted for publication in the 3rd edition of Elsevier´s Encyclopedia of Ecology (forthcoming in 2024/2025).

"Outline of an Uexküllian bio-ontology" referred to in encyclopedia article

My article "Outline of an Uexküllian bio-ontology" - my very first academic article, published in Sign Systems Studies in 2001 - is included in the literature list of the entry for "Uexküll, Jacob Johann Baron von (1864-1944)" in volume XXIX of Biographisch-Bibliographisches Kirchenlexikon (BBKL): Nachschlagewerk mit aktuellen Nachträgen (columns 1455-1483 - author: Heike Delitz). This volume was published in 2008 in Nordhausen by the publisher Traugott Bautz.
