Today I have had a book writing day, with CCS industry news and other climate news processed and researched. This brings the number of writing days so far this Spring up to 10,5, including 4 book writing days.

Altogether in January I had 10,5 writing days.

Today, at hospital, I have had half a book writing day, with some 500 words written on my scientific monograph Captured: CCS and the fight for the soul of the environmental movement.  I continued tidying in some of my book folders to get a good overview over remaining material ahead of completion of the book manuscript.

So far this Spring I have had 37,5 writing days, including 31 book writing days.

March writings - summary

In March I ended up having 8 writing days - no time for one today - with 6.109 words written logged. So far this year I have logged 17.395 words written, distributed on 8 different writing projects.

Today I have had an article writing day devoted to resubmitting/transferring my first wasted growth article, and working further on my book chapter "Nosology and Semiotics", with some 300 words written. Number of writing days so far this Autumn is up to 29,5.

Two half writing days

I had half an article writing day on Sunday and another one today, with some 600 words written yesterday and another 300 words today. While yesterday´s work was related to my paper "The case for minimizing anthropogenic mortality in wildlife management", today´s was devoted to the chapter "Semiotics in ethology and zoology".

Total number of article writing days so far this Spring is 16,5.

1,5 more writing days; revision of "What can be known about future Umwelten" finished

In the process of completing the revision of my article "What can be known about future Umwelten", submitted to The American Journal of Semiotics, I had half an article writing day on Monday (day before yesterday) and a full article writing day last evening. And complete the revised article I did, at 01.30 or so. This brings the total number of article writing days this autumn up to 30.

Writing plan for Spring 2020 composed; fewer conferences next summer

In consequence of my more busy work life now that I am Vice Dean for Research, I have, already, scheduled article writing days for next Spring. Counting 53 writing day as of now (with 2 writing days from home each week as the rule), this is the highest number of writing days I have planned for a semester so far. This Spring my research time was too pressed by the Vice Dean role; this autumn I have protected it a bit more strictly.

It also makes a difference that whereas I attended no less than 5 conferences etc. within five weeks June-July this year, I intend to attend fewer conferences next summer. For now I am just planning attending a symposium in May (invited) and 3 conferences next year (one in July, one in August, one in October, the latter invited). I am open to more if exciting opportunities show up, but don´t want to have as busy a summer next year as I had in 2019 - something that also meant I hardly had time to write this June.
