Today, on my way back to Stavanger from Oslo, I have had an article writing day devoted to finishing my article "Prolegomena to lifeworld-oriented studies of contested climate pasts and futures", which I have now submitted to a special issue of Journal of Cognitive Historiography about "Cognition and Evolution in Historical and Social Research". In the process I added 2.058 words to the manuscript - making this the most productive writing day so far this year in terms of words written. This brings the number of writing days so far this Spring up to 46,5, including 29 article writing days.

Today I have had half an article writing day devoted to the article "Friluftsliv in therapeutic residential care: When staff take youth out to find a way in", which I co-write with Joakim Jiri Haaland in relation to his ph.d. thesis. This brings the number of writing days so far this Spring up to 43,5, including 26 article writing days.
All together I logged 4.835 words written in May, the most in a month so far this Spring. For now in 2026 I have logged 14.078 words written.

Today I have had an article writing day, with some 200 words atted to the refugee-themed article I am co-writing with Maren Sagvaag Retland, "The rights and living conditions of unaccompanied minor migrants in the Schengen Area", and some key readings done. This brings the number of writing days so far this Spring up to 21,5, including 15,5 article writing days.
This concludes my academic writing in February, which added up to 4.816 words written over 11 writing days (8.002 words so far this year).

Today I have had an article writing day with some 500 words added to the environmental semiotics chapter I am co-writing with Jonathan Beever, which we are finishing and submitting today. #29; 2025 by now most-productive writing year on record
Today I have finished half an article writing day, with some 1.400 words written in the process of composing an abstract prepared in relation to an upcoming special issue of The Journal of Ethics, on the theme "Climate ethics: Prospects and Retrospectives". My paper is titled "The ethical case against Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)". This was writing day #29 this Autumn (starting July 1st).
Over the last days of this week I have also made a prioritised writing plan for the rest of this Autumn.
By now (or rather by the writing day I had August 8th, when I finished the Captured manuscript) I have written more in 2025 than any previous year on record. In 2021, when I worked on the book Semiotic agency, co-written with Alexei Sharov, among other writing projects, I logged 84.739 words written. By now in 2025 I have already logged 86.459 words written, mostly owing to my work on Captured.

This is the 25th writing day I have had this Autumn, and the most productive ever in terms of words written on this book manuscript. The length of the manuscript passed 100.000 words altogether (while the contracted length is 80.000 words).

By now in 2025 I have logged 52.036 words written. This is more than what I wrote in the entire year of 2024 (51.879 words).

Today I have had half a book writing day, with some 500 words written on my scientific monograph Captured: CCS and the fight for the soul of the environmental movement. So far this Spring I have had 60 writing days, including 52,5 book writing days.
In May, I had 17,5 writing days, all devoted to this book manuscript (a record), and logged 16.832 words written (also a record, at least in living memory).

Today I have had a book writing day, with some 1.400 words written on my scientific monograph Captured: CCS and the fight for the soul of the environmental movement, as I was finishing inscribing and placing the remaining references I have selected (total count now stands at 502 sources). So far this Spring I have had 46 writing days, including 38,5 book writing days.
In terms of words written in one day, this is my second-most productive day in 2025 so far.
By now in 2024, in a little more than 4 months, I have logged more words written than in 2023, when I logged 35.417 words written on scientific texts.

This is my most productive writing day so far in 2025 in terms of number of words written. So far this Spring I have had 36 writing days, including 29,5 book writing days.
By now I have written more than 50.000 words on the book manuscript, or about two thirds of the manuscript.

Today I have had a book writing day, with some 900 words written on my scientific monograph Captured: CCS and the fight for the soul of the environmental movement. I also watched the webinar "Quantifying and mitigating subsurface risk in CO2 storage projects", organized by Finding Petroleum/Carbon Capture Journal.
So far this Spring I have had 31 writing days, including 26 book writing days. In March, I had a total of 14,5 writing days (possibly a record?), including 13 book writing days, and I logged 13.393 words written altogether (a new record in terms of monthly total as far as I can tell), of which 13.017 words written on my monograph manuscript.

Today I have had a book writing day, with some 900 words written on my scientific monograph Captured: CCS and the fight for the soul of the environmental movement. I also assessed how much I have written on each of the 12 chapters by now, and "where" I should focus on writing going forward.
So far this Spring I have had 7 writing days, including 5,5 book writing days. By now in January, I have written more on the book in terms of words written than in any single month in Autumn 2024, but I still have to write considerably more by the end of this month.

Today I have had a book writing day, with some 550 words added to my scientific monograph Captured: CCS and the fight for the soul of the environmental movement. I also attended a webinar on CCS. So far this Autumn I have had 33,5 writing days including 19 book writing days.
Altogether in November I had 7,5 writing days, including 5 book writing days and 2,5 article writing days, with 4.580 words written logged, of which 3.954 words written on Captured. The latter is slightly more than what I wrote in August and October, and the best month so far in terms of words written on this book (though I´ll have to write more in the coming months to stay on schedule).
