Today I have had what ended up as half a book writing day, with some 450 words written on my scientific monograph Captured: CCS and the fight for the soul of the environmental movement. So far this Spring I have had 34 writing days, including 27,5 book writing days.  

Opinion piece on mother-child relations in animals published in Salongen

My opinion piece "Jakten på mor og barn" [The hunt for/Hunting mother and child] was published in Salongen December 2nd, upon invitation, in relation to the 4th Norwegian Animal Ethics Conference.

Salongen is a webpage, or online journal, for philosophy and the history of ideas.

Book review of "Hvem er villest..." in ARR, journal of history of ideas

There is a book review of the Norwegian Human-Animal Studies anthology "Hvem er villest i landet her? Råskap mot dyr og natur i antropocen, menneskets tidsalder [Who is wildest in this country here? Brutality towards animals and nature in the Anthropocene, the age of Man]" in the latest issue of the Norwegian academic journal ARR - Idéhistorisk tidsskrift [... journal of history of ideas], no. 4/2013, on pages 152-155. The review is written by Espen Schaanning and entitled "Dyrs verdi" [The value of animals]. The book review is generally positive, with some exceptions - for instance that Schaanning is critical to the title of the book.

Report from first Norwegian animal ethics conference

"Den løynlege maten" (The /hidden/ food) is a report, written by Minding Animals Norway board member Frode Bakke Bjerkevik, from the first Norwegian animal ethics conference, Dyreetikkonferansen, which was arranged September 21st (by Kristian Bjørkdahl of SUM, Ann Margaret Grøndahl of Norway's Council for Animal Ethics, and myself of Minding Animals Norway). It has been published by Salongen, a Norwegian website covering philosophy and the history of ideas.
