Yesterday: Work lunch, faculty board meeting, end of term dinner

Yesterday I had a work lunch with fellow members of the program area for research Philosophy and subjectivity at Ostehuset in town, informed about plans for the UIS cognitive lab at the meeting of the board of Faculty of social sciences, and attended an end of term dinner with the faculty leadership group at Villa Skeiane.

Philosophers´ dinner at Fish & Cow

Yesterday I attended the UiS philosophers´ dinner at Fish & Cow in downtown Stavanger. No animals were hurt during the course of my own meal.

Philosophy and subjectivity - input to report and renewal application

Today I have compiled input to the report so far of the UiS program area for research "Filosofi og subjektivitet", in relation to our application for renewal of the program area.

Writing trip to Copenhagen planned

I have made plans for a writing trip to Copenhagen December 20-23rd. I will likely focus on revising "The epistemology of biosemiotics".

Program area "Philosophy and subjectivity" approved; launches May 1st

Yesterday we were notified that University of Stavanger, or more specifically the Dean of Faculty of Social Sciencesm has approved the establishment of the program area for research "Filosofi og subjektivitet" [Philosophy and subjectivity], with me among the core members. The program area is officially established May 1st and for now runs until December 31st.
