Last day of events in Oxford

As part of my "academic updating" at University of Oxford, yesterday I attended a 2-hour lecture organized by Faculty of philosophy at graduate level on Longtermism, at Radcliffe Humanities, and an open lecture by Robert Costanza titled «Overcoming our societal addiction to growth to build a sustainable wellbeing future» at School of Geography and the Environment, followed by a drinks reception.

I am now on my way home to Norway.

Welcome reception for MAC4

Tonight I have attended the first couple of hours of the welcome reception of the 4th international Minding Animals Conference, which is held here in Mexico City January 17-24th. The reception took place at Hotel Royal Pedregal.

"We the living" accepted for presentation

I have just been notified by the Scientific Advidory Committee that my submission “We the living: The reception of Uexkull in Norwegian ecophilosophy” has been accepted for presentation at the 10th Annual International Gathering in Biosemiotics, to be held at the Portuguese Catholic University in Braga, Portugal June 22-27, 2010.
