Today I have had 2 employee appraisals (total to date: 10), and 2 more scheduled meetings, including Spring´s third and last staff meeting, plus dropping by MFAMILY celebration.

Ph.d. defense for Maria Gussgard Volckmar-Eeg

Today I have attended the trial lecture and ph.d. defense of Maria Gussgard Volckmar-Eeg. I have also taken part in the department´s celebratory event at this occasion, and will now this evening attend the dissertation dinner.

A meeting, a ph.d. defense, and a ph.d. celebration event

Today I have attended a meeting concerning development of a master degree, the ph.d. defense of Ida Bruheim Jensen of her thesis "Ways of seeing children: Perspectives of social workers in Chile and Norway", and helped organize a celebration event for Ida at the department, with food and drinks. Tonight I will attend the ph.d. defense dinner.

October 2011: Table at restaurant Volga reserved for PhD defence dinner

Around the end of October 2011 I reserved a table for 5-10 persons at restaurant Volga in Tartu, Estonia, at the occasion of my PhD defence (see thesis introduction) December 15th the same year. This is were I was to (and indeed did) celebrate my PhD, with the family members accompanying me, my supervisor Kalevi Kull and my opponents Jesper Hoffmeyer and Dominique Lestél.
