Project extension requested (wolf interview material)

I have just submitted another status report for the research subproject "Representations (both problematic and romanticizing) of large mammals, especially wolves" to NSD/Personvernombudet, requesting an extension of the project until the end of 2020.

Project extension for wolf study

Project end for the research (sub)project "Representations both Problematic and Romanticizing of Large Mammals especially Wolves" has been extended to June 30th 2019. The remaining two articles will likely only be completed next Spring.

NSD approves project extension

The use of research data in the subproject of EMP151 "Animals in changing environments" called "Representations both Problematic and Romanticizing of Large Mammals especially Wolves" has been extended for a 6 month period until the end of June. Articles are still in process.

Research status report

Yesterday I gave a brief status report to the Norwegian Personvernombudet for forskning in relation to field work in "Animals in changing environments" (EMP151). Research is still ongoing.

Today I have received response to my brief status report from NSD - Norwegian Centre for Research Data in relation to our field work involving 13 interviews last year, acknowledging the prolongation of the subproject which I reported.

NSD reference to EMP151 field work

Norway´s Data Protection Official for Research (Personvernombudet for forskning) has registered the   interviews in the subproject "Representations (both Problematic and Romanticizing) of Large Mammals, especially Wolves" of the research project "Animals in changing environments: Cultural mediation and semiotic analysis" (EMP151) with (NSD) project number 41062. I am registered as contact person/responsible.

Pilot study: Interview guide composed; notification form submitted


About a week ago, the last time I took part in work preparing an upcoming pilot study (see yesterday´s post), we submitted a notification form to NSD´s Database for statistikk om høgre utdanning [Database for Statistics on Higher Education (DBH) - Norway], after having finished composing an interview guide (4 pp.) and an information letter.
