Rountable discussion "The Human-Environmental Relationships in Critical Period of Crisis" at WCEH4 attended

Today I have taken part (digitally) in the roundtable "The Human-Environmental Relationships in Critical Period of Crisis", convened by Matteo Sartori & Julia Prakofjewa, on the last day of the 4th World Congress in Environmental History, which has been held in Oulu, Finland and online August 19-23rd. My brief introduction was related to my article “Anticipating the societal transformation required to solve the environmental crisis in the 21st century”; I also took part in the discussion. Some 10 people attended physically and online altogether.

At 51 pages, this is the longest article I have ever published.

The article is part of a special issue, "Anticipation and change", which draws on papers from the NASS XI conference with the same theme that was held at University of Stavanger in June 2019.

Today I have had an article writing day devoted to proof-reading my article “Anticipating the societal transformation required to solve the environmental crisis in the 21st century”, making initial planning for my book chapter “Nosology and semiotics” (cf. previous post), and marking what needs updating in my three wasted growth articles.

Total number of writing days is up to 31 since New Year. Of these, 5,5 were in April, with -137 words written net this month (i.e., I deleted more text than I composed).

Yesterday I had half an article writing day devoted to go through a language-edited version of my article “Anticipating the societal transformation required to solve the environmental crisis in the 21st century”. I finished today. The article - my longest ever, I think - will be published very soon, in a special issue of Sign Systems Studies.

Yesterday I had half an article writing day devoted to revising my article "Anticipating the societal transformation required to solve the environmental crisis in the 21st century" for the second time. After adding and deleting some text, net I shortened it by some 100 words.

The Spring terms last writing day - with some 1.200 words written, and the revision of my article "Anticipating the societal transformation required to solve the environmental crisis in the 21st century" finally finished. Includes thorough treatment of deep ecology vs. ecomodernism. 116 references - possibly the most in any of my articles so far. One of the longest also (more than 19.000 words).

July ended up being the month this Spring (sic) with the most words written - 9.246 words, vs. 7.455 in June and 7.414 in January (top 3). Altogether 45.161 words written (academic texts) in the Spring term.

54,5 writing days is also a record, compared to the last few previous years.

Today I have had half an article writing day, with some 500 words written on the revised version of my article "Anticipating the societal transformation required to solve the environmental crisis in the 21st century". Altogether I have had 7,5 article writing days in June, with some 7.455 words written, the most so far in one month this year (vs. 7.414 words written in January) and 35.915 words written altogether in the first half of 2020.
