Yesterday I had what ended up as a full book writing day, with work done related to completing (and submitting) the index of my forthcoming book with Bloomsbury Academic, Carbon Capture and the Future of Environmentalism. This brings the number of writing days this Autumn up to 18,5 including 14 book writing days.

Google Scholar: 105 citations; h-index of 6

In Google Scholar, I am now listed with 105 citations (+6), and an h-index of 6 (meaning that six of my papers have been cited at least 6 times each, on Google´s count). My 6th paper to reach at least 6 citations is "The statistician’s guide to Utopia: The future of growth" (though these are mainly self-citations).

Total number of citations in 2015 is now up to 38.

Sign Systems Studies achieves Web of Science status

As I have learned, the Tartu-based journal Sign Systems Studies has achieved Web of Science indexing status.

"Mapping Human Impact" achieves Web of Knowledge status

Some days ago I received an email from the University of Tartu Press notifying me that my book chapter "Mapping Human Impact – Expanding Horizons: Interdisciplinary Integration" has been indexed by Web of Knowledge, via inclusion in the Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citations Index.

Biosemiotics achieves ISI acceptance and indexing

A few days ago I was informed by Editor-in-chief Marcello Barbieri and Managing Editor Catherine Cotton that the academic journal Biosemiotics, where I am a member of the editorial board, has been accepted by ISI, the Institute for Scientific Information (a part of Thomson Reuters), the top rating organization in the publishing world. Starting with volume 1, issue 1, Biosemiotics will be indexed in:

* Science Citation Index Expanded (also known as SciSearch®)
* Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition
* Arts and Humanities Citation Index®
* Current Contents®/Arts & Humanities
* Social Sciences Citation Index®
* Journal Citation Reports/ Social Sciences Edition
* Current Contents®/Social and Behavioral Sciences
