Today, during sick leave, I have had a book writing day, with some 700 words written on my scientific monograph Captured: CCS and the fight for the soul of the environmental movement. So far this Spring I have had 19 writing days, including 15,5 book writing days. 

To discuss "future humans" at Wonderful world festival

I am scheduled to take part in a panel discussion at the philosophy and science festival "Wonderful world" which is to take place in Stavanger June 1st-4th, titled "Fremtidsmennesket?" (cf. description in the festival program), along with Anders Sandberg (who also offers a brief lecture/introduction), Leonora Onarheim Bergsjø and Einar Duenger Bøhn. Hannah Winter will chair the event, which takes place June 1st at 8-9 p.m. at Scene 2, Tou (in Stavanger, Norway).

To be plenary speaker at Tartu Summer School of Semiotics 2021

I have agreed to be a plenary speaker at Tartu Summer School of Semiotics 2021, which will be held in Sammuli, Estonia, on August 13-16th. The topic for the summer school is "Semiotic horizons: Time, memory and future".

Two invited plenary presentations given at zoo conference

Today I have given two talks at the conference of the Swedish zoo association (Svenska Djurparksföreningen), "Fremtidens dyreparker" (The zoos of the future). My talks were titled "Dyreparker i fremtiden - Om å møte samfunnets holdninger og forventninger" (Zoos in the future - about meeting society´s attitudes and expectations) and "Gjestemøter - snakker vi samme språk?" (guest meetings - do we speak the same language?). Some 40 people attended. My first lecture lasted for 70 minutes including questions, the second one 25 minutes. The conference takes place at Bjørneparken i Flå. This were invited plenary presentations.
