Contribution to Kalevi Kull Festschrift published online

A Festschrift to Kalevi Kull at the occasion of his 70th birthday this summer was released in digital form today, and announced at the 22nd Gathering in biosemiotics. It is available for download online, and will soon appear in print.

17th gathering in biosemiotics to be held in Lausanne

At the 16th gathering in biosemiotics, in Prague, which has just been completed, it has been decided/announced that the 17th gathering in biosemiotics will take place at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, June 6-10th 2017, convened by Ekaterina Velmezova.

Mention of "Umwelt and language" chapter in introductory chapter

My chapter "Umwelt and language" (see recent post) is briefly mentioned in the introductory chapter of the book in which it appears:
