On Wednesday this week, the 13th of September, I attended Jacob Tom´s midterm evaluation, involving discussion of his ongoing ph.d. work, at the University of Stavanger. I am Jacob´s co-superviser. John Brumo (NTNU) and Helge Jordheim (UIO) served as discussants.

A grading meeting and 3 job interviews

Today I have attended a grading meeting with an examiner at University of Oslo, and three job interviews in relation to a ph.d. position at Department of cultural studies and languages (UIS).

Adjusted time for guest lecture on environmental ethics at IKS

My guest lecture on environmental ethics at Department of cultural studies and languages (cf. previous post) has been moved to November 26th.

To give guest lecture on environmental ethics at IKS

On November 12th at 12.15-14 I will give a guest lecture on environmental ethics at Department of cultural studies and languages (IKS), Faculty of arts and education, in a Master course within teacher education.

To be co-supervisor on progress-themed ph.d. project at Department of Cultural Studies and Languages (IKS)

About a week ago I was informed that the ph.d. project "Progress and political action in an age of environmental crisis" has been allocated a ph.d. position by the Dean of University of Stavanger´s Faculty of Arts and Education. Tyson Ashley Retz will be main supervisor, with me as co-supervisor. The ph.d. scholar will be employed at Department of Cultural Studies and Languages (IKS). A call for applications will appear in late 2020, with start date August 1st 2021.
